Just a reminder to all of the members of the thrive band that there will be practice at 4:30 on Sunday. Make sure you are on time so that we can get a good practice in and be well prepared for service!

Every where you look right now you can see the signs of fall coming. I love fall most of all when it comes to the seasons. All of the color in the trees, the cool brisk air, hoodies, caramel apples, football and all of the other little things make fall simply sublime for me. All through the year the season change and bring with them their own little slice of what they represent. Fall brings with it the end of summer as well. Summer is a great time of year but if summer existed for the entire year life would be a little boring, and not to mention HOT!! Plants would not receive the break they need to get rid of their leaves and fruits so they could begin to prepare for the next year and grow bigger and stronger. The fall provides a break for the heat before winter sets in, it allows plants to shed themselves of leaves, fruits and nuts so they can grow new ones in the spring, and it enables the circle of life to continue.

Just as in the physical world, we have seasons in our lives as well. God allows people to enter our lives for a season or allows you to be in a place for a season so that we can grow and find the next part of the path that he has for us. Good things only last for a while and when they end it provides an opening for even better things to come in and change us even more. There are a lot of fond memories from the past at thrive and they will be cherished by all for a long time. But with old memories in the past comes an opportunity for new memories to be formed!!

We are very excited to be Joining the team at thrive to pour into your lives. This is a new season for you and for us. I know that there are a lot of people that are hurt, frustrated, or confused about the events at thrive over the last three months but please allow Jesus to heal those feelings because God wants to do some amazing things through the young people that attend this group.

We will be making some really exciting changes over the next few months. Sound equipment will be added and we are working on a plan to create a sweet atmosphere for all of you to come and experience Christ, talk to leaders, hang out with friends, and just let your life be added to. If you haven’t been to thrive in a while come and check out the changes with us as they take place and we move into this new season of thrive.
